Kareena, Sonam, Swara and Shikha are friends from their school days. After a long gap they meet up at Kareena Kapoor’s wedding ceremony. The happenings at the function forms the story.

Shashanka Ghosh’s direction is matured, the best thing is that he has not tried to exaggerate the adult stuff. Writers manage to cook up the scenes well with natural sexual talks, complicated relationship situations, etc. Characterizations are bold and wonderfully built as the film travels. Kareena Kapoor has done a good job, her expressions are funny at places. Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar have delivered one of their career best performances, their roles are also efficient. Shikha Talsania is decent and supported the others nicely. Sudhakar Reddy’s cinematography is rich, he has shown everyone beautifully. Costumes and hair stylists have done a fabulous job to heat up the visuals. Art department stands out with glorious set work in the grand wedding events. Dialogues deserve special mention as even a complicated sentence is conveyed in a simplified manner. The happy talks which the gals do are fun to watch, nothing looks force fit at the same time. Climax is feel-good and few messages about women freedom is transformed on a positive note.

Script is too thin, revolves around a single knot. The sub-plots are not that powerful to fade out the flaws in the story line. Certain serious scenes that happens in the second half fails to convey the emotion properly. The sequences between the gals and their parents are weakly presented. An important situation towards the end does not really leave an impact. Songs are not upto the mark, they don’t really engage the audience to the mood. Background music is so subtle throughout the film. There are some filmy moments at the end to make things fall on the happy side. Editing could’ve been better my making the movie crisper.

TO CONCLUDE – A crowd pleasing bold and matured comedy drama.

Movie Rating – 2.75/ 5.
