We had earlier reported that Ashwath Marimuthu, the director of Tamil hit film ‘Oh My Kadavule’ starring Ashok Selvan and Ritika Singh, is all set to make the film in Hindi and Telugu. The film traces the story of two best friends whose lives turn upside down when they get married to each other. While it was recently announced that actor Vishwak Sen will star in the Telugu remake of the film, the latest buzz is that the team is planning to sign Vijay Sethupathi to play the special role he had played in the original.
The Telugu remake rights were bagged by PVP Cinema even before the film’s release in Tamil. The film was centered on Ashok Selvan, who is given another chance by God to save his marriage after he falls head over heels for another woman. While Vishwak Sen will be playing Ashok Selvan’s role, director Tharun Bhascker will be writing dialogues for the remake. It is yet unknown who will direct the project.
‘Oh My Kadavule’ was directed by debutant Ashwath Marimuthu and the film starred Ashok Selvan and Ritika Singh in the lead with Vijay Sethupathi playing the God in an extended cameo role.
